The top of the podium has not been enough for Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol's Spencer Madsen, who won yet another tournament this weekend in Appleton.
Madsen had four pins and a technical fall in his five matches at Saturday's Fox Valley Invite to win the 175 pound weight classes and Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament honors. Last month's On The Water Classic remains the only time he has not earned the extra honor and the only time he has registered less than a major decision in a match this season.
Teammates Nate Hasenjager (106, 2nd), Mason Haen-Lauder (132, 3rd), Ray Johnson Jr (138, 2nd), and Julian Langer (190, 3rd) also finished in the top three to help Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol take second place as a team with 196, 65 points behind first-place New London.
SBS is back in action on Monday when they travel to Kewaunee for a quadangular meet that will also feature Marinette and Manitowoc Lutheran.
