Clippers boys keep streak with win over Raiders

The Sturgeon Bay boys basketball team was able to extend a slim halftime lead to earn a second straight win, beating Two Rivers 48-39 Monday night.

Leading by two at the break, the Clippers outscored the Raiders in the second half 26-19 thanks to Benjamin Ash's 20 points and 12 points from Sam Fruzyna. The Clippers have won four of their last five games, but this one was a little different to head coach Zach Goblisch. "This game was unique because we saw a different style of play in comparison to what we've seen so far this year, which is why I was especially proud of our execution tonight," Goblisch said. "Despite the runs that Two Rivers made to keep this close, I thought we kept our composure and battled through to get this win."

Behind 15 points from Tyson Yang, the Raiders lost their fourth game in five tries.

The Clippers hit the road Friday for their next conference matchup with Kewaunee.
