The Sturgeon Bay Clippers and Algoma Wolves will face off on the hardwood Tuesday night in Algoma on U102.1 and NEW Radio Sports Network. Both teams will be playing their first games of 2026.
The Clippers enter the game at 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the Packerland Conference. Algoma is in a tie for second place in the Packerland with a 3-1 conference, 7-1 overall record.
Sturgeon Bay rides the wave of a 2 game win streak after taking down Big Foot 63-48 in their December 30th matchup. The Clippers came out fast building a big 12 point lead in the first half. Big Foot kept pace with Sturgeon Bay in the second half, but the large lead, seemingly insurmountable, ultimately propelled the Clippers to a 63-48 victory.
Algoma hopes to extend their 5 game win streak. In their last game, which also came December 30th, Senior Parker Lischka led all scorers with 24 in a home victory over Denmark 62-51. Lischka's 24 points were sparked with four first half three-pointers and 18 of the team's 34 first half points. The Wolves would lead by seven at the break and not let it slip, instead only increasing their lead in the second frame.
You can tune in for the action on U102.1 or NEW Radio Sports Network by joining Jacob Nate around 6:45 with the pregame show, followed by the 7:00 tipoff from Algoma.
