Clippers play lights out on both sides of the court to open season

Strong defense and double-digit scoring from Sam Fruzyna and Ben Ash pushed Sturgeon Bay to a strong 49-34 win over Chilton in their season opener.

Fruzyna topped all scorers with 18 and Ash matched Chilton's leading scorer, Wyatt Gregory, with 15.

Coach Goblisch after the game: "There was an energy about how we played from the start of the game that we carried through all 36 minutes that I was really impressed with. Our defensive intensity, hustle for loose balls and rebounds, and overall fight on both ends of the floor were crucial in getting the win tonight. I am looking forward to seeing this momentum carry over into the start of the season."

The Clippers will get a break until December 2nd when they travel to Howard to face Providence Academy.
