It will be a quick turnaround for the Sturgeon Bay girls' basketball team as they prepare to play Two Rivers Friday night after losing to Chilton Thursday night 47-37.
Regan Kasten and Prudence Goettelman led the Clippers with eight points apiece with head coach Rachel Miller praising their inside prescence and nose for the hoop. Cora Frangipane and Makenna Coyhis each scored six points complement the scoring. Miller said after the game that the team had great energy and great effort, adding that "this team is building something special!"
The Clippers are back in action Friday night with a home game against Two Rivers. The Raiders opened their season with a 60-42 win over Cedar Grove-Belgium. Allie Gallagher scored 23 points and fellow sophomore Isabel Bateman added 12 points in the win. Gallagher also had 14 rebounds and five assists in the opener.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
