SBS' Madsen signs NLI to wrestle for Parkside

With a major life decision in the rearview mirror, Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol wrestler Spencer Madsen is ready to take down the task at hand.

The Sturgeon Bay High School senior put pen to paper for his post-secondary school plans, signing his National Letter of Intent to wrestle at UW-Parkside next year. Madsen is coming off a third-place finish at the 2025 WIAA Individual State Championships in Madison, compiling an overall record of 53-2, Packerland Wrestler of the Year honors, and several tournament titles along the way. Madsen did not waste any time getting back on the mat as he traveled around the Midwest participating in Greco-Roman and freestyle tournaments and participating in camps with fellow Rangers wrestlers and Luxemburg-Casco alums Easton Woracheck and Reece Woracheck. Under the tutelage of UW-Parkside Hall of Famer Trevor Hasenjager, Madsen is excited that the decision is over and the high school season is here.

Madsen's first action is slated for December 2nd when Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol hosts Fox Valley Lutheran, Green Bay Preble, and Luxemburg-Casco at Sturgeon Bay High School beginning at 5:30 p.m.
