The sectional champion Sturgeon Bay Clippers will have some time to rest their legs before opening their state tournament run on Thursday.

The Clippers played two consecutive overtime games to earn their spot in the state field alongside Oostburg, Madison Country Day School, and Arcadia. That includes last Saturday's nerve-wrecking shootout win with Will Estes sneaking the game-winner past the Xavier goalkeeper to secure the 0-0 (4-3) win.

The Clippers will open their state tournament run under the lights at 7 p.m. against Arcadia. The winner will turn around and play either Oostburg or Madison Country Day School on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
