The Sturgeon Bay Clippers soccer team only needed 60 minutes to earn their trip to Saturday's regional final, beating Bowler/Gresham 10-0 at Clark Field on Thursday.
The Clippers led 8-0 at the break and didn't wait long to send the Wildcats home on short notice. The match included the fastest goal in Clipper History (nine seconds) by Finn Stevenson. Stevenson also earned the fastest hat trick in team history (seven minutes). Jaxson Bleck will be by Stevenson in the record books, garnering the program's second fastest hat trick (14 minutes) in the win. Aiden Benzinger added a brace with two goalscorers in the mix as well.
The win started the farewell tour for head coach Todd Maas, who is stepping away from the program at the end of the season.
The Bulldogs will be next on the hit list for the Clippers after they beat Providence 1-0 on the road on Thursday. In their last match, the two teams played to a 1-1 draw.
