The Sturgeon Bay Clippers handled business at home Tuesday night, earning a straight-set sweep over Sevastopol (25-15, 25-19, 25-20).
The Clippers controlled much of the match behind consistent serving and balanced offense, building holding off late pushes from the Pioneers in each set.
Offensive Leaders
Audrey Harrington led the attack with 12 kills and a .360 hitting efficiency, keeping Sevastopol’s defense on its heels.
Yarrow Goettelman and Regan Kasten each contributed 9 kills, combining for a .500 hitting percentage and multiple momentum-swinging plays at the net.
Miya Nell was efficient from the middle, adding 3 kills and key touches on blocking all night.
Setter Makenna Coyhis distributed the offense with precision, finishing with 34 assists and a 47% team kill rate.
Defensive Highlights
Audrey Harrington anchored the back-row effort with 11 digs, while Izzy Schoeneman chipped in 7 digs and strong serve-receive passing all night. Sofia Carmody with 5 and Reen Walker with 4.
Yarrow Goettelman and Regan Kasten combined for 6 blocks, helping shut down Sevastopol’s outside attack.
The Clippers passed at an overall 54% efficiency, allowing their offense to stay in system.

The Clippers served aggressively throughout the match, posting a 75% side-out rate and multiple ace runs that built early leads in each set. Yarrow Goettelman with 6 aces and Izzy Schoeneman with 5 aces.

Sturgeon Bay improves to 10-25 overall and 4-2 in Packerland play, good for third in the conference standings. Sevastopol drops to 14-12 on the season.
Up next, Sturgeon Bay will host Peshtigo on Thursday at 7 p.m., while the Pioneers travel to Southern Door for a 7 p.m. matchup.
