The Sturgeon Bay Clippers traveled to Kewaunee on Thursday, September 18, for a conference matchup, falling in three hard-fought sets (17–25, 18–25, 20–25).
Despite the sweep, the Clippers showed stretches of strong play, particularly in the third set, where they pushed Kewaunee to the wire before narrowly dropping the frame.
Offensively, Audrey Harrington powered the attack with eight kills and added 12 digs on the defensive end. Regan Kasten was highly efficient, tallying 5 kills on 9 swings for a .556 hitting percentage.
Defensively, Harrington’s 12 digs anchored the back row, supported by Izzy Schoeneman with six digs. In serve receive, Harrington and Schoeneman both posted strong passing numbers, each finishing with a rating above .80.
The Clippers tallied six service aces at the service line, led by Kasten with 2. Harrington, Schoeneman, Coyhis, and Carmody each added to this.
While the Clippers fell short, the match highlighted balanced contributions across the roster and showcased resilience in the third set. The team will look to build on these positives as conference play continues.
