Clippers look to weather Storm on U-102.1

For the third straight match, the Sturgeon Bay Clippers will play in front of an audience on the NEW Radio Sports Network when they battle Kewaunee Monday night on U-102.1

As heard on U-102.1 on Thursday, Sturgeon Bay traveled to Gibraltar/Sevastopol and came away with a 3-1 win. The Clippers carried that momentum into Friday night at home on The Pirate, shutting out Kiel in a 4-0 victory. In Friday’s win, Daniel Wienke led the way with two goals, while Joni Ismaili and Kemal Ismaili each added one. Joni also delivered a highlight assist to Wienke for a simple tap-in finish.

The Storm have split their first two matches on the year, beating NEW Lutheran 7-1 before falling to neighboring Luxemburg-Casco 6-0.

Bryan Mazur and Peter Kerwin will have the call on U-102.1 beginning at 6:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the match at 6:30 p.m.

In other soccer action, Algoma hosts Gibraltar/Sevastopol for a 4:30 p.m. match.
