Clippers soccer get back to work against Peshtigo

The Sturgeon Bay soccer team returns to work at home when they welcome Peshtigo to a Packerland Conference match.

The Clippers saw its streak of positive results come to an end on Monday, losing to Pulaski 5-0 on the road. Estella Vieaux registered a brace while Anya Hasser, Elizabeth Dornfeld, and Alina Harnowski also scored goals for the Raiders. In goal, Isabella Jimenez Seyfer had 15 saves. “It was an extremely windy and long game for our players," Clippers soccer coach Robert Desotelle said post-match. "Pulaski was quick and physical and we struggled to win and possess the ball.  Playing quality competition isn’t always easy, but we learn a great deal about the speed of play and physicality in these types of matches. Better days are ahead.”

The Bulldogs enter the match 3-2-0, including a 2-1 win over Kingsford (MI) on Tuesday.

Thursday's match against the Bulldogs begins at 6 p.m. at Clark Field.
