Six errors and a 10-run third inning ensured that Sturgeon Bay baseball's afternoon at Capital Credit Union Park was a short one, losing to Kiel 14-2 in five innings.
The Clippers were trailing 4-0 before the fatal third inning when 16 Raiders came up to bat. The Raiders drew five walks, and the Clippers committed four errors in the inning. The Clippers would draw blood in the fifth inning when Caleb Plzak reached on an error, allowing Bryce Plzak to score. Steven Prescott's flyout gave the Clippers their other run.
The loss spoiled a perfect day at the plate for Bryce Plzak, who went 3-3 with a run scored while four other Clippers registered hits. Sigg Hansen took the loss for the Clippers, allowing nine runs (3 ER) on six hits and three walks across 2 1/3 innings.
