The Sturgeon Bay Clippers baseball team scored two runs in each of the final two wins to turn a 3-0 deficit into a 4-3 victory at Green Bay Southwest on Tuesday.
The Trojans scored all three of its runs in the opening frame, touching up Bryce Plzak on one hit and four walks. The bullpen held the Trojans down the rest of the evening, limiting them to four hits and five walks over the final five innings. Clippers pitchers struck out nine on the day. The Trojans threatened in the fifth inning and nearly stole a run on an overthrow, but Steven Prescott's throw into catcher Caleb Plzak was in time to keep it a three-run game.
Prescott would come up big offensively in the sixth inning with an RBI single to make it 3-1 while Siggy Hansen's RBI single made it 3-2. After holding the Trojans scoreless in the bottom of the sixth, Patrick Haese delivered the game-winning RBI double to drive in two runs. Ethan Kratcha led the Clippers with hits with two.
