SBS' Madsen still in line for podium finish

Despite a close loss in the semifinals, Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol's Spencer Madsen's weekend at the WIAA Individual State Wrestling Tournament will continue on Saturday.

Madsen dropped a close decision to Gunnar Johnson (Gale-Ettrick-Tremp./Mel.-Min.) at 157 pounds for only his second loss of the season in the semifinal. He will get to wrestle for third place on Saturday. Tiani LeMieux's weekend ended soon than she would have liked as she suffered a second defeat by pin on Friday morning to eliminate her from the tournament.
