Lady Clippers' season comes to end with loss to Tomahawk

On Tuesday night, the Sturgeon Bay Clippers' season ended with a 50-35 loss at Tomahawk. The Clippers battled back after starting out down 10-0, but they just couldn't score enough in key stretches and fell by 15 points, missing 15 free throws in the game.

Tomahawk was led by Alberg with 18 and Long with 16.

The Clippers were led by Dasha Yelysheva with 11 and Regan Kasten with 8.  Yarrow Gottelman had 7, Cady Carlson had 6, and Cora Frangipane had 3.

Sturgeon Bay Coach Dan Tjernagel said "Regardless of how a season goes and the number of games won or lost, it's hard when it comes to an end.  I'm proud of the group for battling, defending, and rebounding, even though scoring points was often a struggle for us.  In the end, all I asked was that they gave it their best--and once again, they did exactly that."
