Clippers girls conclude Packerland slate with loss to Blazers

The regular season is down to one game for the Sturgeon Bay Lady Clippers after they fell to NEW Lutheran 66-41 on Thursday.

 

The Clippers fell behind in the first half before playing them evenly in the second half, never being able to make up enough ground. The Blazers had four players reach double figures on Thursday, led by Lexie Meerstein with 20 points and Kiley Dhein with 11. The Clippers countered with Dasha Yeltysheva with a game-high 21 points.  Regan Kasten chipped in 10 points, Cady Carlson posted 8 points, and Yarrow Goettelman chipped in two points.

 

The Clippers return to the court on Friday for a non-conference game against Kohler. The Bombers fly in with a three-game winning streak, including a 54-44 victory over Random Lake on Thursday.  The JV game will be at 5:00 P.M.  Parent's Night recognition will follow the JV game prior to the start of varsity warm ups with the varsity game set to start approximately 6:30 P.M.
