The Sturgeon Bay Clippers battled hard on Tuesday night but came up short to the Peshtigo Bulldogs 60-48 in Packerland Conference boys basketball action.
The Clippers were led by Jackson Starr with 18 points and Hayden Tracy tallied tem points in the loss.
Dominik Baxter had a game-high of 27 points for the Bulldogs
Clipper Coach Zach Goblisch after the game: "I felt Peshtigo controlled the tempo and the pace of the game well tonight. We had some defensive lapses that gave them some big shots at key moments of the game, which made things difficult for us down the stretch. Offensively, we found ourselves in a drought a few times in this game where shots weren't falling, and we'll need to improve upon how to get out of those droughts more efficiently as we move forward."
The Clippers welcome Sevastopol on Friday for their third Packerland Conference matchup of the early season.
