Lady Clippers fall to Oconto

The Sturgeon Bay Lady Clippers started okay but fell behind late in the first half going down 19 points into the break on their way to a 59-41 loss to the Oconto Blue Devils.  Sturgeon Bay cut the deficit to 11 with about eight minutes to play, but just couldn't convert on some great opportunities to get the lead down into single digits.  The Clippers did outscore Oconto by a point in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome the first-half hole.

Oconto was led by Natalie Schlueter with 15 points and Addisyn Viestenz with 11.  The Blue Devis had nine different girls score.

Sturgeon Bay was led by Dasha Yeltysheva with 22 points and Cady Carlson had 12.  We had five players score with Yarrow Goettelman scoring three, and both Layla Stai and Gabi Tjernagel chipping in two.

The Lady Clippers are in action next at home on Friday night versus Peshtigo.
