Clippers battle Raiders in rematch for state on NRSN

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers soccer team has a chance to return to state on Saturday, but they will have to avenge an earlier-season loss when they play Kiel at St. Mary Catholic.

Both teams have cruised their competition to earn a date with each other in the sectional final. An own goal remains the lone blemish of the Clippers' tournament resume, beating New Holstein (9-0), St. Mary Catholic (6-1), and Gibraltar/Sevastopol (4-0) along the way. The Raiders also posted a pair of clean sheets on their way to St. Mary Catholic, beating Peshtigo (8-0) and Clintonville (3-0) before toppling Lourdes Academy/Valley Christian 3-1 on Thursday.

The two teams met on August 27th, with the Raiders securing the 2-0 win behind goals from Trevin Heller and Emerson Sitzman.

Bryan Mazur and Peter Kerwin will have the call tentatively on U-102.1 beginning at 12:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the first touch at 1 p.m.
