The Sturgeon Bay Clippers soccer team will have one final tune-up ahead of the WIAA Tournament on Friday when they travel to Seymour to face the Thunder.
The Clippers finished off their undefeated run in the Packerland Conference on Thursday, topping Algoma 5-1. Kayden Klotz registered two goals and an assist while Will Estes scored twice and Daniel Wienke tallied one. The win gave them a 10-0 mark in the Packerland, two games clear of second-place Gibraltar/Sevastopol. The United and the Wolves were the only team to score against the Clippers as Sturgeon Bay outscored their conference foes 63-4. In their much tougher non-conference slate, the Clippers were 2-5-1, failing to score in all six non-wins.
The Thunder enter the match 8-8-2, splitting their last six matches including a 5-0 loss to New London in their last match.
Bryan Mazur and Peter Kerwin will have the call on The Pirate beginning at 6:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the first touch at 6:30 p.m.
