The Door County United swim team will hit the pool early on Saturday as part of the Small School State invitational in Shorewood, Wisconsin.
On Thursday, the Door County United (DCU) girls high school swim team continues to be victorious with their win over Seymour High School. The DCU varsity team scored 101 points compared to Seymour’s 67 points. DCU finished first in all events except for five. In the 200-yard individual medley, Julia Michalski (SBHS), Caitlyn Hasenjager (SEV), and Chloe Bissen (SBHS) finished first through third, respectively. In the 500-yard freestyle, Megan Quaderer (SBHS), Kailyn Neville (SDHS), and Isabella Jimenez Seyfer (SBHS) finished first, second, and fourth, respectively. Mia Olson (SBHS) finished first in the 100-yard freestyle for junior varsity. Additionally, Maria Wienke (SBHS) finished first in the 200-yard freestyle, dropping 2 seconds off her best time from Tuesday’s meet.
Whitnall, Whitefish Bay, Rhinelander, Portage, Port Washington, Plymouth, New Berlin West, New Berlin Eisenhower, McFarland, Kohler, Grafton, Edgewood, Brown Deer, Berlin/Green Lake, Berlin, Baraboo, and Greendale are all scheduled to compete when the first events begin at 8 a.m.
