DCU hosts Shawano/Bonduel for dual swim meet

The Door County United swim team returns to their home pool on Thursday when they swim against Shawano/Bonduel.

 

In their last meet, DCU won it all with a total of 425 points, with the second-place team, Oregon High School, scoring 380 points. The 400-yard freestyle relay consisting of Julia Michalski (SBHS), Megan Quaderer (SBHS), Amelia Michalski (SBHS), and Kailyn Neville (SDHS) clinched the win with their first-place finish. Freshman Quinn Sperber (SDHS) had a very successful meet, scoring 13 points in the 100-yard freestyle and 11 points in the 100-yard backstroke. Senior Anika Steinbach (SBHS) scored 4 points in the 200-yard freestyle, 7 points in the 100-yard backstroke, and assisted the 400-yard freestyle B relay in their 7th place finish with a 1:08.55 split.

 

The meet featuring senior night activities will begin at 6 p.m. at the Sturgeon Bay YMCA.
