Storm Sink Clippers on U102.1

The Storm traveled to Sturgeon Bay Friday night and came away with a 42-0 victory, jumping ahead of the Clippers and into second place in the Packerland conference standings.

Kewaunee came into the game knowing they needed to replace a key contributor after losing Jackson Wisnicky to an ACL injury last week.  That mission was accomplished as they received the opening kickoff and marched down the field, finding the endzone via a 16-yard Waylon Delain touchdown.  Delain scored five rushing touchdowns on the night (16, 30, 1, 8, 24) and tacked on 2-point conversion runs.  The only other player to score for Kewaunee was their QB Brett Paulsen, who ran one in from 15 yards out.

The Clippers also needed to find a way to replace a missing key player.  Patrick Haese was ejected after being flagged for a targeting block, which was trying to block for Caleb Plzak after a first-quarter interception.  The offense would turn to Caleb and Bryce Plzak but would be unable to find the endzone after many drives were hurt via penalties.

The Storm travels to Southern Door on Thursday night to take on the Eagles. The game will be broadcast on 104.1 and NEW Radio Sports Network.

The Clippers will host the Mishicot Indians for their Homecoming game on Friday night. The game will be broadcast on U102.1 and NEW Radio Sports Network.
