A goal by Hayden Luders in the 24th minute turned out to be the game-winner at Luxemburg-Casco Tuesday night. The Sturgeon Bay Clippers topped the Spartans 1-0 in non-conference girls' soccer. Clippers goalkeeper Isabella Jiminez Seyfer had 11 saves in goal to record the shutout.   

Sturgeon Bay Coach Bob Desotelle said, “We’ve been on the short side of these games all season, so it was good to finally get the win. Isabella was terrific in goal. Our defense continues to play very well, and our defenders and midfielders made shots inside the 18-yard line impossible for L-C. This is a great way to head into regional play next week.”

Next up for the Clippers is a conference match against NEW Thursday at Clark field.
