Six girls' events and two boys' events will feature athletes from the Sturgeon Bay track team after their great performances at Monday's regional meet in Brillion.
The following finished 4th or better and qualified for Sectionals:
On the girls' side:
- Ella Tarkowski finished in 2nd place and ran a 12.75 in prelims.
- Jade Tomberlin 2nd in high jump at 4’-10”
- Julia Kurek advances in both the 1600 at 5:30.93 and 3200 at 12:06.31
- Two girls relays advanced.
- In the 4x100 the team of Ava Estes, Tivi Andropolis, Cady Carlson, Ella Tarkowski took 4th at 52.76
- In the 4x400 the team of Ava Estes, Jade Tomberlin, Ella Tarkowski and Cady Carlson took 4th at 4:23.55
- Gaby Luett took 3rd in discuss at 90’-11”
On the boys side
- Chase Hasenjager took 4th in the 400 at 54.12
- Xavier Jandrin took 2nd in Pole Vault at 12’-6”
These athletes also had amazing meets and just missed advancing:
- Tivi Andropolis took 5th in the 200 at 27.14
- Kordell Anderson qualified for finals with a sub 12 second 100 for the first time at 11:84
- Gannon Evers 5th and Braden Evers 7th in shot put.
- Alexis Lenius with a 9th place in shot put.
- Ben Stephens 6th in the 1600
- And the boys 4x400 took 5th.
- Kemal Wienke, Zone Wienke, Ben Stephens and Chase Hasenjager.
