Sturgeon Bay softball can't keep up with Oconto

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers softball team could not hold down Oconto in either end of a doubleheader on Monday, losing game one 26-10 in six innings and 17-2 in four innings.

In game one, the Clippers batted around in the third inning to keep the mercy rule at bay for at least one more inning as they took advantage of five walks and a hit-by pitch. Jacqueline Barlas,  Caprice Carbajal, and Annika Schoeneman recorded hits in the loss, while Madeline Propsom scored twice.

In game two, Schoeneman's double and Propsom scored the Clippers' two runs and registered the team's only hits in the loss.
