Clippers Fight Off Eagles Comebacks to Advance 79-61 on U102.1

The final score does not tell the full story of how close the game was multiple times in the second half as Sturgeon Bay defeated the Menominee Indian Eagles 79-61 Tuesday.  Twice inside the last 10 minutes of the game, the Clippers held just a single-point lead after letting double-digit leads slip away.  Free throws, and plenty of them, helped build the leads back up multiple times as the Clippers went 27 of 35 from the charity stripe.

Calvin Richard led the way in scoring for the Clippers, who put up 30 points while being a perfect 8-8 at the free throw line in the second half. Jackson Star scored 15 points, 13 of which came in the second half.

The Clippers took their first win in the playoffs since 2020 and now face a matchup with #3 seed Clintonville on Friday night.
