The 2023-24 season ended for the Sturgeon Bay girls’ basketball team Tuesday night, as the Clippers lost to the Tomahawk Hatchets 48-35 on the road in Division 3 WIAA state tournament regional action.

Despite a 24-point performance by Dasha Yeltysheva, the Clippers could not overcome a 26-18 first-half deficit.  Regan Kasten chipped in five points for Sturgeon Bay.

Claire Albert led Tomahawk with 18 points and the Hatchets outscored the Clippers 22-17 in the second half to come away with the win.

Sturgeon Bay finishes the season 4-19.
