Clippers boys host Kewaunee on U-102.1

The Sturgeon Bay boys' basketball team will try to continue their winning streak when they host Kewaunee on Monday night.

Four different Sturgeon Bay Clippers broke double figures, and two others were within a basket as they rolled past Gibraltar last Friday night in Fish Creek, 87-68. The Clippers would find their stroke later in the half and take control as Garrett Ulberg and Jackson Starr each connected on a pair of three-pointers while still causing havoc in the passing lanes against the Vikings. Thanks to Ulberg's 13 first-half points, the Clippers took a 40-29 lead into the break. Ulberg and Calvin Richard scored in double figures in the second half, while Hayden Tracy knocked down a pair of threes to extend the lead by nearly 30 points midway through the second half. Ulberg would finish the night with 23 points, Richard poured in 18 points, Starr contributed 11 points, and Tracy chipped in 10.

The Storm could not hold off Southern Door from capturing at least a share of the Packerland Conference title in an 82-61 loss last Friday. Thomas Stangel led the Storm with 21 points, followed by Braxton Riha, who had 20 in the contest.

Jacob Nate and Reece Robillard will have the call on U-102.1 and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 7:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening tip at 7:30 p.m.
