The DCU Boys Swim Team had a great day at the pool with a host of all-team conference swims and new hardware to bring home!
Here are the highlights:
- A second-place finish with a season-best time of 1:47.34 in the 200 Medley Relay (Ezra Linnan, Jack Monfils, Luke Filar, Logan Filar).
- Monfils swam his personal best 50 split at 28.08 to help with the two-second drop in time.
- A seventh-place finish from George Atwell in his season-best time of 2:06.73 in the 200 Free. He dropped five seconds from his best earlier this past December.
- A personal best and conference title in the 200 IM from Monfils with a time of 2:03.86, dropping two seconds from his previous best last weekend.
- A season-best and second-place finish in the 50 Free with a time of 23.89 for Logan Filar.
- A third-place finish and additional season best for Logan Filar in the 100 Free at 52.37, a full second under any individual 100 this season.
- A season-best time and seventh-place finish from Atwell in the 500 Free with a time of 6:03.02. That’s 30 seconds off from the first meet this season and 10 seconds faster than his finish two weeks ago.
- A second place finish in the 200 Free Relay (Linnan, Luke Filar, Atwell, Monfils) with a time of 1:39.05. Luke Filar swam his fastest 50 split at 25.03, and Monfils swam his fastest 50 split at 22.61 to help find their way to the podium.
- A third-place finish and personal best in the 100 Back at 1:00.88 for Linnan, and a personal best and seventh-place finish for Luke Filar at 1:08.03. Luke Filar has dropped five seconds on his 100 back over the course of the season, and Linnan has dropped four.
- A conference title and personal best in the 100 Breast at 1:01.59 for Monfils. That’s three seconds dropped over the course of the season.
- A third-place finish in the 400 Free Relay (Atwell, Luke Filar, Linnan, Logan Filar) with a time of 3:49.08. Luke Filar swam his best 100 split of the season at 58.07, and Logan Filar swam his best 100 split of the season at 51.85.
