The Sturgeon Bay Clippers girls' basketball team grinded out their first win of the New Year on Monday, beating Peshtigo 39-34.

The Lady Clippers took a two-point lead into halftime and they were able to extend on that advantage in the second half. Dasha Yeltysheva led the Clippers in scoring with 22 points despite making only one shot from the field. Head coach Dan Tjernagel commended Regan Kasten and her nine-point effort despite dealing with foul trouble. Four other Clippers scored as well. Holly Pesch scored 15 points and Rylie Ellie added 11 points in the loss for the Bulldogs.
