Clippers boys prepare for cross-county tilt vs. Eagles

 A Door County rivalry will take place at center court on Thursday night when the Sturgeon Bay boys' basketball team hosts Southern Door.

 

The Clippers won at home Tuesday night 78-67 against Two Rivers. The Clippers were led by Garrett Ulberg, who poured in 24 points, while Danny Lodl added 22 points, including five three-pointers. The Clippers are tied for fourth place in the Packerland Conference with a 2-1 record (4-1 overall).

 

The Eagles are 2 for 2 in the Packerland Conference, sitting a half-game behind Oconto for the top spot with a game in hand. The Eagles lost their last matchup on Tuesday 81-47 to state power Brillion. Drew Daoust led the with 24 points, but the Lions kept the rest of the team down with no other player scoring more than six points, which were registered by Matthew Malvitz and Caden Pierre. Lucas Mathes led the assault for the Lions with 22 points while two others scored in double figures.
