Clippers girls look for bounceback against Truckers

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers won't have much time to reflect on Thursday's loss to their Door County rivals as they prepare to play again Friday night against Clintonville.

The Sevastopol girls' basketball team held a 31-9 advantage at halftime and didn't look back as they beat Sturgeon Bay 55-25. The offense started to open up in the second half for the Clippers, with Dasha Yeltysheva leading the way with seven points and Regan Kasten contributing six points.

The Truckers have opened the season 2-5 on the year and are currently on a two-game losing streak. Led by Natalie Sunita (14.5 ppg), the Truckers have scored more 35 points only once.

Tip-off in Clintonville is set for 7 p.m.
