Clippers boys tame Tigers in opener

Sturgeon Bay took a one-point deficit at halftime and turned it into a 68-58 win over Chilton.

The Tigers' Ben Willett tried his hardest to spoil the start of the Zach Goblisch era for the Clippers as he scored 10 of his team-high 18 points in the first half. Bennett Woelfel also scored 10 points for the Tigers in the opening stanza, but they were both countered by the Clippers' Jackson Starr. He scored 12 of his team-high 15 points in the first half to help take the team into the locker room down 29-28.

Danny Lodl helped turn the tide in the second half as the Clippers outscored the Tigers by 11 after the break. Danny Lodl scored 11 of his 14 points and Calvin Richard tallied eight of his 13 points in the second half to lead the Clippers past the Tigers. Garrett Ulberg hit two three-points en route to an 11-point evening.
