Two familiar Packerland foes will meet at Clark Field Thursday night to open the WIAA Soccer Tournament.

 

Sturgeon Bay and Kewaunee will meet for the third time this season, with the Clippers outscoring the Storm 11-0 across the two matches.

 

The Clippers went 8-0-1 late in the season before losing twice by a goal to Neenah (1-0) and Luxemburg-Casco (2-1) to close things out last weekend. The team went undefeated in the Packerland Conference, outscoring their opponents by nearly 50 goals while not allowing one to enter the goalmouth. 

 

The Storm have won only three matches this season, including twice against non-WIAA opponent Washington Island, 4-2 and 5-4. A 3-2 upset of NEW Lutheran remains one of the program's highlights over the last few campaigns. 

 

Bryan Mazur and Reece Robillard will have the call on U-102.1 beginning at 6:45 p.m., with the pregame show followed by the opening kick at 7 p.m.
