Sturgeon Bay looks to avoid heartbreak in Marinette

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers football team hopes to avoid the drama they have experienced the last two weeks when they travel to Marinette on Friday night.

The Clippers have dropped two straight one-score games: 20-15 to Antigo and 20-19 to Bonduel. They have done with the Packerland's leading passer in Danny Lodl, who has thrown for 814 yards with nine touchdowns and two interceptions to his credit.

The Marines have been sunk the last two weeks as well after starting the year with a 47-0 win against Green Bay East. They have been outscored 69-6 in that span, falling to their tradition rival Menominee, MI and Kewaunee.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
