The Sturgeon Bays Clippers were the first team to reach the endzone Friday night, but it was the Bonduel Bears that would be going home happy with a 20-19 win.  The Clippers put the first points on the scoreboard late in the 2nd quarter with a 41-yard Danny Lodl to Patrick Haese touchdown.  The Bears would answer in the 3rd quarter when Dyllan Hillsberg ran one in from 3 yards out. Missed 2-point conversions for each team meant the game was tied 6-6 entering the fourth quarter.

Things would get interesting as teams exchanged scores and the lead the rest of the way including an 83-yard Lodl to Bryce Plzak pass, and a 15-yard Lodl to Kordell Anderson pass.  Trailing 19-20 with less than a minute to go, the Clippers would find themselves deep into Bear territory, but after a 9-yard sack on third, and an incomplete pass on fourth, the Bonduel Bears were able to take victory formation and send themselves into the holiday weekend, and the bus ride home, happy. Both teams are now 1-2 on the season.

The Clippers will travel to Marinette on Friday night.
