Clippers Soccer play tough to a draw against Kiel Monday night on U-102.1

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers Soccer team battled the Raiders Monday night at Clark Field in a back-and-forth battle that led to a 2-2 draw. The Raiders were first to score on a cross when Sawyer Moore found the back of the net in the 5th minute. Four minutes later Kayden Klotz was able to tie the game with a header of his own (1-1). Sawyer Moore would give the Raiders the lead in the 15th minute off a mishandled freekick (2-1). Then, Ben Stephens would take the PK after Carter Schulz (Big E) would take a direct kick from about 30 yards out and the Raiders committed a handball penalty in the box. The score was 2-2 at halftime and that's where it would remain for the rest of the game. The Clippers played down a man but still played strong after Starr picked up a second Yellow card in the 71st minute.  The Clippers will be at Home against Algoma on Thursday. Game time is 6:30 p.m. and coverage will be on U-102.1.
