Clipper baseball travels to rival Eagles on U-102.1

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers baseball team will look to pull one last upset in Packerland Conference action when they travel to Southern Door to take on the Eagles on U-102.1.

Sturgeon Bay has been a team of ups and downs throughout the season, and Saturday was an example of that. The Clippers fell 13-0 and 9-5 in two games against the Green Bay Southwest Trojans, and have lost four straight games and eight of their last ten games they have played. Sturgeon Bay will look to break those trends against the Eagles, where their seniors will play one last regular season game.

Southern Door bounced back from their struggles against Kewaunee by sweeping the NEW Lutheran/Providence Acadeny Blazers in two games by two different outcomes. The Eagles won the first game 17-0 in a game that was shortened due to the mercy run rule. Southern Door would come back and narrowly beat NEW Lutheran 8-7 in six innings as the game was shortened due to darkness with the Eagles ahead.

Gary Barta and Reece Robillard will be on the call from Southern Door beginning at 4:15 p.m. with the pregame show and first pitch set for 4:30 p.m. on U-102.1 and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com between the Eagles and the Clippers.
