Clippers baseball to face Southwest Saturday

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers baseball team will play a rare non-conference doubleheader against Green Bay Southwest on Saturday, ahead of their final conference matchup with Southern Door.

The Clippers have had an up and down season throughout the year, as they floated around .500 for most of the season. With their overall record sitting at 8-11 and their Packerland record at 5-9, Sturgeon Bay will look to end their season strong with four games remaining. The Clippers received the eleven seed in the Division 2 playoffs, and will have to travel to Shawano for the opening round.

Green Bay Southwest has not had the best of seasons as well, as they enter the matchup with Sturgeon Bay at a 5-16 record and 4-13 in the Fox River Classic Conference. The Trojans and the rest of the division one teams are still waiting for their seeds to be released for the postseason.

First pitch from Memorial Field is set for 11 a.m.
