Sturgeon Bay battles Peshtigo on baseball diamond

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers baseball team looks to forget its 16-0 loss to Chilton and get back to its winning ways on Tuesday when it plays two games at Peshtigo Tuesday.

The Clippers' loss to the Tigers snapped a five-game winning streak, which included four conference wins. Following their weekend split, head coach Neal Henrigillis said, "There were two sides of the coin today. We played very well in the first game against Manawa, however, we weren't quite ready for Chilton. However, they are one of the best Division 2 teams in the state and they showed it right from the get go. It was a good test for us. That Chilton game will allow us to regroup and get better going forward."

The Bulldogs have followed up their sweep of Sevastopol by getting swept by Algoma and Southern Door. They are now 3-7 on the season, with all three wins coming in the Packerland Conference.

The first pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
