The Sturgeon Bay Clippers' trip to Oconto for a pair of softball games did not fare well as they dropped both ends of the doubleheader 18-7 and 9-3.
In game one, the Clippers carried a lead late before the Blue Devils scored 15 of their 18 runs in the final two innings. The Clippers tried answering the call in the sixth inning when they plated five runs of their own.
In game two, the Clippers scored all three of their runs in the third inning to bring the game within one before the Blue Devils scored twice in the fourth and five times in the decisive seventh inning.
