After some excitement in their opening game, the Sturgeon Bay Clippers will enter conference play at 1-0 and take a trip around the bay to face the Oconto Blue Devils Saturday morning. 

A walkoff by Curt Meyer was the deciding factor in a game that went to the 10th inning. Preble and the Clippers would go back and forth throughout the late hours of the afternoon and even into the night. In their one game against the Blue Devils of Oconto last season, the Clippers took the victory convincingly, winning 9-5 early into the season. Sturgeon Bay will look to repeat that success and take a win in Packerland play. 

The Blue Devils are 0-2 in the Packerland Conference after they were swept by the Peshtigo Bulldogs by scores of 9-7 and 10-8. Oconto was atop of the Packerland Conference standings last season with an 8-2 conference record and a record of 16-8 overall. 

First pitch of the Doubleheader is set for 11:00 a.m.
