After falling in the first match of the season, the Sevastopol/Gibraltar Vikineers will hit the pitch again, this time taking on the Clippers of Sturgeon Bay in the county rivalry on Thursday night. 

The Vikineers were beaten by the Peshtigo Bulldogs in their first match by a score of 3-0, and will look to bounce back Thursday night. Last season, Sevastopol/Gibraltar was 3-11 overall and 1-5 in EWC/Packerland Conference play. Now that the team, along with the rest of the Packerland Conference teams that have girls soccer aren’t in a conference, the Vikineers can schedule freely. 

Sturgeon Bay was 7-7-2 last season and will play their first game of the season against Sevastopol/Gibraltar after the Notre Dame Quad they were scheduled to play at was canceled due to weather. After another attempt to play a match against Denmark failed, the Clippers begin their season with the other team in the county with a girls soccer team. 

The match is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
