The Sturgeon Bay Track and Field team will get their outdoor season underway this Tuesday afternoon in Kewaunee when they compete in the Kewaunee Five Meet. 

 

Both teams competed in the Waters Meet at Ripon on March 16th. The boys team was led by Espen Walker in the high jump at 5 feet 10 inches, leading him to winning the event at that meet. Patrick Haese finished fourth in the long jump at 18 feet 3 inches, a mere 4 inches behind the 3rd place finisher. Sturgeon Bay will look to finish high Tuesday afternoon. 

 

Ella Tarkowski and Julia Kurek had a pair of fourth place finishes in their lone indoor meet. Tarkowski competed in the 60 meter dash and Kurek had her top finish in the 1600 meter run. The girls team finished 15th overall, and the boys team finished in 8th. 

 

Sturgeon Bay will be competing against Green Bay NEW Lutheran, Kewaunee, Peshtigo and Sevastopol.

 

First Event is set to begin at 4:15 P.M.
