Sturgeon Bay boys set to honor seniors versus Vikings

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers will finish off their regular season Monday night at home when they face off against the Gibraltar Vikings for the Clippers senior night.

Sturgeon Bay has been on a bit of a skid in their last 10 games played, compiling a 3-7 record in that stretch of games. The Clippers did get a win their last time on the court, when they defeated the Two Rivers Raiders a week ago 69-53. The senior night festivities will see Isaak Aune, the leading scorer of the Clippers be honored in potentially his last game at home. The Clippers fell to the Vikings up in Gibraltar the last time the two teams matched up by a score of 67-58.

Gibraltar is coming off of a loss to the Southern Door Eagles 63-47. The absence of leading scorer and star Jake Schar will be one to watch heading into this matchup, as head coach Travis Ward is hopeful that he will return to the line-up before the end of the regular season this week. Whether that means Schar finds his way back to the lineup against the Clippers, or their home matchup against Algoma.
