Clippers boys handle Raiders

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers were on the road Monday night in a non-conference game against the Two Rivers Raiders.

 

The Clippers and Raiders traded baskets for the beginning of the game until the Clippers were able to get out to an 8-point lead in the middle of the 1st half. Two Rivers forced a few turnovers to have a small run of their own before Sturgeon Bay was able to extend the lead again, going into halftime up 9, 33-24. The start of the 2nd half began with a few baskets back and forth as Two Rivers switched into a high-pressure zone and was able to generate a few stops. The Clippers were able to get some good ball movement in the second half to extend their lead further to 19. The Pirates made a small run late in the second half to get the deficit down to 14 before the Clippers could finish the game with a 16-point lead, 69-53. Sturgeon Bay is back in action Monday at home in a conference game against Gibraltar.
