DCU takes fifth at Plymouth Swimming Invitational

The Door County United Swimming Team rode four season-best times on Saturday to a fifth-place finish in the Plymouth Invitational.

 

Notable swims and finishes

  • 4th place finish in the 200 medley relay (Ezra Linnan, Jack Monfils, Logan Filar, Branden Neubauer) with a time of 1:53.24 out of a field of 13
  • 5th place finish in the 200 free relay (Neubauer, Colton Blackley, Tre Wienke, Monfils) with a time of 1:47.27 out of a field of 13
  • 5th place finish in the 400 free relay (Linnan, Blackley, George Atwell, Filar) with a time of 3:53.32 out of a field of 13

 

  • Neubauer took 9th in the 200 free with a time of 2:20.74 (a season best) and Atwell gained a few points at 15th with a time of 2:27.97
  • Monfils placed 2nd in the 200 IM with a time of 2:14.41 and Filar took 5th with a time of 2:20.89
  • Blackley placed 7th in the 50 free with a time of 25.52, Linnan placed 9th with a time of 26.00, and Wienke snuck in to earn some points at 14th with a time of 28.51
  • Filar took 5th in the 100 fly with a time of 1:02.82 (a season best)
  • Atwell took 12th in the 100 free with a time of 1:02.81 (a season best)
  • Blackley took 8th in the 100 back with a time of 1:08.56Monfils placed 1st in the 100 breast with a time of 1:06.33 (a season best), Linnan took 9th with a time of 1:17.91, and Neubauer took 11th with a 1:20.32


Our next meet is our home meet on Thursday, December 15. This will be parents night.
