Clippers soccer finishes Packerland season as champions again

The Packerland conference Boys Soccer season has wrapped up with the first matches of the postseason beginning this week.

Sturgeon Bay was once again able to bring home the conference championship, overcoming a slow start to their season and winning key matches down the stretch. Although they lost their first conference match in over 2 seasons, the Clippers were able to nab a two seed in the postseason, and will take on the winner of the round one matchup of Kewaunee and Saint Lawrence Seminary.

Gibraltar/Sevastopol was able to beat the Clippers, but since then have struggled. Finishing third in conference, behind Sturgeon Bay and NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy. The Vikineers found themselves with a twelve seed, matched up against Winnebago Lutheran Academy in the first round.

Algoma would finish fourth in the conference, and matches up with Wrightstown as the 10 seed on Thursday.

Kewaunee finished last, and with one win on the year against Washington Island. They will play St Lawrence Seminary in a matchup to get into the first round Tuesday night.
